Melissa L. Schefkind is an associate of the firm who focuses her practice on all areas of domestic relations law, particularly complex marital property issues, as well as custody, support, and child welfare.
Ms. Schefkind received her Bachelor's degree, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law. During law school, Ms. Schefkind practiced as a Rule 16 attorney and received the Public Service Award for her commitment to advocacy. Prior to joining New & Lowinger, Ms. Schefkind was the judicial law clerk for the Honorable Leah J. Seaton in the Circuit Court for Wicomico County.
